Welcome to The Unedited Self
I’m Jo and I created this space to offer therapy that is real, authentic and warm.
Sometimes life is messy. Sometimes we don’t understand why we feel the way we do. Sometimes we know exactly what’s wrong but have absolutely no idea what to do about it.
And sometimes, we just need somewhere we can be real.
No masks. No judgement. Just honest conversations, curiosity, compassion and space to explore the bits of yourself that might be harder to say out loud.
I’ll bring my whole, imperfect, unedited self into the room too. And I’ll invite you to bring yours.
Have a look around to find out more about what I offer. And if you're wondering whether therapy with me might be right for you, get in touch.

Individual Therapy
Perhaps you’re struggling with something that’s happening right now. Maybe you’re carrying things from your past that still affect you. Or maybe you’ve simply reached a point where you’re wondering, “Why do I keep ending up here?”
Therapy can be a place to slow things down and work out what’s really going on.
We can talk about whatever feels important to you — relationships, difficult experiences, emotions, feeling stuck, life changes and personal development, If you are navigating neurodivergence we can explore what that means for you.
You don’t have to know exactly what you need from therapy, and you don’t have to come wanting to change who you are. Sometimes understanding yourself and making peace with parts of your life can be just as important as making changes.
I’ll meet you where you are, without judgement.

Support for life transitions
Change can be exciting, but it can also bring up feelings we weren’t expecting.
Even changes we’ve chosen can bring grief, uncertainty, fear or the feeling that we don’t quite know who we are anymore. And some changes are things we never asked for in the first place.
You might be starting again after a relationship ends, questioning what comes next, adjusting to a new stage of life, or trying to find your feet after something has shifted.
Therapy can give you somewhere to slow things down and make sense of what’s happening, without needing to have a plan for what comes next.
We can explore what you’re feeling, what you’ve lost, what’s changed and what you want — if you even know that yet.
Sometimes you just need space to work out where you are now, and what you need from here, with someone to support you.
Neurodivergence Support

I work with Autistic and ADHD adults, whether you have a formal diagnosis, are exploring whether you might be neurodivergent, or have spent years wondering why some things feel harder for you than they seem to for others.
Alongside my professional experience, I bring my own lived experience of neurodivergence and my experience of parenting neurodivergent children. I know there is no single neurodivergent way, and that everyone’s experience is different.
We can explore how you think, process, communicate and experience the world, including sensory overwhelm, masking, burnout, relationships and emotional regulation.
You don’t need to arrive with answers. We can simply get curious about your experience and work out what makes sense for you.
Self-Discovery & Personal Growth
Therapy can really support you develop personally — discover something new about yourself, see things from a different perspective, or understand why you do the things you do. I think there’s something really exciting about knowing there is always more to learn about ourselves, and about gradually becoming more comfortable with who we really are.
For me, growth isn’t about becoming a better or more acceptable version of yourself. It’s about getting curious, reflecting on who you are and learning to live more authentically.
Therapy can give you the space to explore your patterns, values, beliefs and experiences, and to ask some of those bigger questions about who you are and what you want from life. Sometimes, understanding yourself more deeply can change the way you see your past, your relationships and what comes next.
